    Frequently asked questions

How quickly does hotel availability update across booking channels?

Each booking, cancellation or amendment adjusts availability, and updates are sent to your booking channels within seconds. The CMS runs on the same platform as the PMS and is directly connected to it. This removes the need to enter availability again in a separate system.

How does a CMS help prevent hotel overbookings?

LODGIC360 uses shared room inventory across booking channels rather than treating each channel as a separate stock of rooms. When a booking is made, availability on the other channels is adjusted automatically. The system also checks for discrepancies between the PMS and channels to monitor inventory consistency.

Can I close sales for a booking channel, room type or date range?

Stop-sales let you close a channel, room type or period with one click. You can therefore target a specific part of your distribution without taking every room off sale everywhere. These closures are managed in the CMS, which runs on the same platform as your PMS.

Are rooms under maintenance automatically removed from sale?

Rooms marked as out of service are automatically removed from sale. Maintenance blocks are therefore reflected in the availability sent to booking channels. Because the PMS and CMS operate on the same platform, you do not need to repeat the withdrawal separately on each channel.

Can I hold room allotments for groups, companies or tour operators?

Allotments allow you to reserve blocks of rooms for groups, companies or tour operators. This lets you set aside part of your hotel's inventory for those bookings. Allotments are part of the CMS's availability management, alongside shared inventory, stop-sales, maintenance blocks and automatic discrepancy checks.
